The island is home
The island is home to around 69 people, according to the Fetlar Community Association website – an increase from its lowest population of 48 in early 2009. Nestled into the hillside, the castle overlooks Fetlar's grassland and rugged cliffs stretching down to the sea, as well as the surrounding islands.
